how Arby's saved the day

It was a dark and quiet night.  Surprisingly few souls were brave enough to venture forth into the bitter solitude.  When along came Percy, chugging forward as valiantly as a white horse might carry it's knight on a mission.

The mission: M&M McFlurry and French Fries
The "knight": Susie the intrepid night-owl

Despite the trials and turmoil set to block the mission (a.k.a. wrong turns, bad signs and early closing hours), to the drive-thru Percy came.  The mysterious, talking box offered some new meaty pleasure and the intended order was placed when all things came screeching to a halt!

The dastardly foe: "Our ice cream machine has been broken all week . . . "

Whatever could be done?  This seemed to defy logic!  Bemused and befuddled was the remaining conversation with the talking box.  The ride home equally silent and confused as the ride there, the cause being a world wth no McFlurries rather than a world with no night-owls.

After being slightly cheered by a remarkably silly song on the talking wavelengths, the night-owl scurried inside to enjoy some wicked starch in secrecy . . . only to discover another foe!!!!

The devious foe: there were NO ketchup packets with the wicked starches . . .

What to do?  What to do?  The no longer warm, limp-bodied wicked starches could no more be eaten alone than the moon could rise without a sky.  The foes seemed insurmountable . . . until Arby's saved the day.  Riding in on an ingenius thought was the memory of some left-over packets of delectable "signature barbeque sauce" waiting for just-a-time-as-this moment in the mysterious cold rectangle with two doors.

The happy ending: never again would the foe's deceptive golden arches bely happiness when true tasty wicked starches could be found so reliably.
